No Ordinary Love

Inspired by a recent romance, photographer Lucas Garrido’s latest photo series, ‘Amore e Psique,’ is a genuine passion project.

“Amore e Psique” was born out of an extremely powerful but ultimately painful love affair. I wanted to represent the amazing feeling of being coated with love, passion, great sex... That feeling of not wanting to get out of bed, to never stop hugging the other person, touching them, watching them sleep.

But at the same time, there is a total lack of control around it, and you know it’s going to dominate you and will make you stop thinking rationally. This intensity of passion is addictive.

It’s like being in a bed made of blossomed flowers in a room made of thick concrete walls, and the room has a window with nice views. Some of us are cautious about entering this room, and others deep-dive into that bed.
